French Toast
1/2 Stick of Butter per batch
2 Loafs of 2 to 5 day old French bread sliced diagonally
12 eggs
2 Cups of Cream
1 Cup of Orange juice
1 Cup of Cointreau
Powder Sugar
Cinnamon
In a 12" skillet heat half a stick of butter over medium low heat. Coat the bread slices generously with the egg mixture. Fry the slices until golden brown on both sides, being careful not to burn. Once a batch is finished place the cooked batch in a warming drawer or oven to keep warm. Pour out and rinse the pan, drying it with a towel. Repeat this process until you have the desired amount of toast.
Once finished top each piece with powder sugar and then cinnamon to taste.
Serve with maple syrup and slices of oranges
